After learning the ropes from her brother for 5 years helping with the Action For Distraction, 13-year-old Mackenzie Rice is teaming up with her surgeon, Dr. Barbara Minkowitz & theChildren's Orthopaedic Sports Medicine Center(COSMC) to bring you The Skeleton Run for Bone Health Awareness and Research! While the need for bone health awareness is a serious cause, the race will be nothing but family fun! There will be plenty of Halloween happenings both along the 3.1 mile course, the 1-mile Trick-or-Treat Trail AND at the after-party!! Come join us, in OR out of costume, and enjoy candy trick-or-treat aid stations along the course, a costume contest, a pumpkin patch & decorating station, and cider & donuts at the finish line! And, just like at the AFD, there will be FINISHER'S MEDALS FOR EVERYONE, age-group awards three-deep & LONG-SLEEVED T-Shirts for the first 250 registered! So come learn about bone health, and have some good-old fashioned Halloween fun ....
